Mary Mulliken is based in Nashville, TN, and is a writer, workshop leader, and personal certified coach for over 13 years dedicated to helping individuals and families create healthy relationships with technology so they can live more authentic lives. Mary is passionate about slowing down childhood and nurturing engagement and a love of hands-on learning in kids. She is a fierce protector of the imaginations of children and believes one of the biggest dangers in today's tech-driven world is that we, as a culture, are lacking the skills of self-awareness and self-discipline.
Empathic and creative, Mary is skilled at helping families create personalized media plans rooted in their values, and develop the dedication to stick with them. Mary is in the process of launching a local coming-of-age nature and mentoring program for tweens and is also working on a book for Millenial and up-and-coming Gen Z parents about the joys and noise of parenting [mostly] screen-free, titled Supercharged! 51 Reasons To Raise your Kids Screen-Free from Birth to Age 7. Mary also volunteers as a trained Screen Strong Ambassador out in the greater Nashville community, offering counsel and educational seminars on the topic of delaying toxic screen use for kids and teens.
